SOME OPERATIONAL SEARCH ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT BY OPERATIONAL EMPLOYEES USING THE INTERNET

Annotation:

The article discusses the implementation of operational search activities (hereinafter-OSM) on the Internet the Need to conduct OSM via the Internet is due to the increase in the number of crimes committed using information and telecommunications technologies the methods of conducting some OSM using the network, such as interviewing, making inquiries, identification of the individual. Analyzed the concept of “operational-investigative monitoring”, as well as the feasibility of its use in the activities of operational employees, developed the author’s definition of “operational search monitoring on the Internet”. The minimum information for effective collection of operationally significant information and possible search locations on the Internet are indicated. The author touches upon the issue of personal data protection and the possibility of obtaining personal data about persons of operational interest to employees of operational divisions. According to the author, this form of OSM will be more effective if there is a sufficient level of technical training of operational staff responsible for this area of work, as well as timely and continuous improvement of their knowledge and skills in this area.
