PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT FOR PRISONERS DURING REINTEGRATION INTO SOCIETY IN THE UK

Annotation:

This article is devoted to a critical review and generalization of the experience of psychological correction of convicts during their reintegration into society. The article considers the most effective and modern psychological methods and approaches used in the UK prison system, based on authentic materials of legal systems. The structure of the article is presented in two logical parts. The introductory part contains an overview of international legal acts regulating the activities of the UK prison services. The author gives specific features of psychological methods when working with convicts and preparing them for reintegration into society. In the main part, special attention is paid to a new form of psychological support for prisoners during their reintegration into society – virtual network counseling for prisoners. The author gives the purpose and objectives of this program.
The conclusion is made that the presented international experience in the field of psychological support of convicts and their reintegration into society can be useful, since in recent years the national penitentiary science has increased interest in the integration of foreign experience in the activities of the Russian penal system.
