Annotation:

The article deals with the problem of studying the semantic attitudes of those convicted of extremist crimes. Negative factors contributing to the development of this phenomenon in places of deprivation of liberty are described. The urgency of preventing illegal behavior of persons convicted of criminal terrorism and extremism is emphasized. The results of an empirical study of the semantic attitudes of 20 convicts serving criminal sentences for extremist crimes in correctional institutions of the Federal penitentiary service of Russia in the Tomsk region are presented. It is indicated that the convicts serving sentences for crimes of extremist orientation have a predominant pragmatic components in their semantic attitudes in the absence of self-assessment components. The article reveals the inconsistency of the position of convicts in solving complex situations in the process of serving a criminal sentence, as well as in relationships with others. Advocates the need for further in-depth examination of the facts, mechanisms and regularities of functioning of the individual convicted of extremism in terms of social isolation, the inherent semantic units taking into account the relevant mental States in the implementation of psychotherapeutic work in the penitentiary period.
