Annotation:

The article considers the experience of organizing work on the re-socialization of persons serving sentences in correctional institutions of the GUFSIN of the Russian Federation in the Krasnoyarsk region, which provides for the improvement of the educational level of convicted persons, the involvement in socially useful work and the resolution of employment issues after release. It has been determined that the problem of preparing convicts for release from places of deprivation of liberty is characterized by the social problems they face in society when registering in employment services, as well as registration of propiska and pension. It is noted that they are unable to solve their problems independently, which in turn will lead them to repeat crimes. On this basis, there is a need for social support through medical, psychological, ped-agogical, legal and social assistance, with the involvement of organizations on the basis of
inter-agency cooperation.
The presented experience of the region in establishing a system of social support has shown how it is necessary to prepare convicts for release, to solve in advance issues of their arrangement, to accompany them during the period of adaptation to life at large, as well as to reduce the rate of recidivism.
