Annotation:

The article deals with the organization of supervision in the territories of correctional institutions, in particular, the aspects of technical support and the process of removing the information received for use in the investigation of crimes. In addition, emphasis is placed on the ratio of regime, operational-search and criminal-procedural means of cognition of the event of a crime, determining the significance of each of the listed activities. The question is
raised about the procedural status of officials, the legality and sufficiency of evidence collected during the investigation of crimes on the territory of correctional institutions.
The purpose of the research is to study the correlation of regime, operational – search and criminal – procedural means of cognition of the event of a crime, as well as to identify possible theoretical problems. The subject of the research is the theoretical provisions, as well as the norms of Russian
legislation regulating the investigation of crimes on the territory of correctional institutions.
The methodological basis of the research is formed by methods of analysis, synthesis of theoretical provisions, norms of criminal Executive and criminal procedural legislation, methods of generalization.
The theoretical proposals of this study can be applied in law-making activities, in particular, to assign a procedural status to operational-regime measures and the results of these measures, and can also be used by practitioners to improve professionalism in the investigation of crimes on the territory of correctional institutions.
