Annotation:

The article deals with the interaction of norms of morality and law, which affect one of the reasons for the dismissal of an employee of the criminal Executive system of the Russian Federation from service. Similarities and differences between the categories under study are reflected. The article considers the features of the service in the criminal Executive system of the Russian Federation, whose employees have a special legal status and are assigned important functions for the state, which in turn imposes additional requirements on employees of institutions and bodies. Attention is focused on the grounds of dismissal from service in the criminal Executive system of the Russian Federation in connection with the Commission of misconduct by officials that discredits the honor of an employee. The purpose of the study is to identify the essential characteristics of a misdemeanor that defames the honor of an employee of the criminal Executive system of the Russian Federation and distinguish this reason for dismissal from other grounds. The methodological basis of the research is the method of formal logic, comparative legal method, formal legal method and method of legal modeling.
The conducted research allowed us to give a legal assessment of misconduct that discredits the honor of an employee of the criminal Executive system of the Russian Federation.
