Annotation:

The effectiveness of negotiations in the complication of the operational situation and emergencies in penal institutions is directly dependent on the successful work of the negotiating groups in general and negotiators in particular. Two groups of factors influence the negotiation process – external and internal. If external factors affect the general, objective conditions for the activities of the negotiating group, then internal factors are determined by subjective conditions, including the presence of a certain set of professionally important personal qualities that allow negotiators to effectively negotiate. In addition, the effectiveness of the negotiation process is also influenced by socio-psychological factors, which are also associated with the personal characteristics of the negotiators. The results of a sociological study allowed us to identify a number of professionally important qualities of negotiators, as well as formulate recommendations to improve the effectiveness of their training and education – differentiation of training programs depending on the level of training of employees.
