Annotation:

The article discusses the characteristics of the emotional-volitional sphere of adolescents and their influence on behavior. It is noted that the puberty, even for adolescents not prone to emotional problems and difficulties, is a serious period of emotional, physical and neurological changes. The emotional experiences of a teenager are particularly bright and intense, and their amplitude is extremely high. The mood of adolescents is unstable and unstable. Adolescence is critical and at the same time decisive in the formation of personality. Thus, the characteristic agerelated contradictions in adolescents are sometimes accompanied by behavior with deviations from social norms. The background of adolescent criminal behavior is psychological breakdown of adolescence, lack of solid moral positions, incorrect interpretation of many phenomena, high susceptibility to group influences, impulsiveness. An empirical study is described, the results of which allow us to state that in crimes committed by minors while dominating the behavior of the emotional sphere, certain actions arise suddenly and are impulsive. The criminal behavior of adolescents is determined by situational circumstances; they are not sufficiently regulated on an emotional level. The behavioral foundations of adolescence must be taken into account when serving juvenile sentences in an educational colony. The author recommends dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT) as an effective psychocorrectional strategy, in which the therapist helps the teenager see both the effectiveness and the negative consequences of his behavior in the context of helping to normalize and accept his life situation.
