Editor-in-chief of the online publication «Bulletin the Tomsk institute of advanced training of employees the FPS of Russia» Savushkin Sergey Mikhailovich, candidate of law sciences, associate professor, deputy Head of the Institute for advanced studies of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for educational and scientific work.
Born on May 12, 1986 in the city of Tsulukidze, Georgia. In 2008, he graduated with honors from the Law Faculty of the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. From 2011 to 2020 he worked in higher educational institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia as a senior teacher, associate professor, head of the department.
In December 2011, at the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, he defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic «Organizational and legal foundations of public service in the penal system» (specialty 12.00.11 – judicial power, prosecutor’s supervision, organization of law enforcement). In 2016, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in the specialty «Criminal Law and Criminology; criminal-executive law».
S.M. Savushkin is the author of 70 scientific and methodological works, including 3 monographs, 17 articles in leading peer-reviewed journals.
He made reports at international and all-Russian scientific conferences on criminal executive law. Research interests: criminal-executive relations; differentiation of those sentenced to imprisonment.
