Annotation:

The article is devoted to the study of the level of depression of convicts without isolation from society. The study involved 30 conditionally convicted men who committed crimes against sexual inviolability and sexual freedom of the individual, and those convicted of crimes against property, who are registered in the FKU UII GUFSIN of Russia in the Novosibirsk region. The Beck Depression Scale was used to evaluate the results of the study. The results are processed using the methods of mathematical statistics. The results of the study allow us to draw conclusions: for men who were first convicted of crimes against sexual integrity and sexual freedom of the individual without isolation from society, aged 25 to 30 years, the presence of signs of moderate and mild depression is characteristic. For men convicted for the first time without isolation from society, aged 25 to 30 years for crimes against property, there are no signs of depression. The results of the conducted research can be used by penitentiary psychologists in practical activities.
