TRAINING OF OFFICERS IN THE KHABAROVSK SCHOOL OF THE SECONDARY TEAM OF THE NKVD RSFSR (1925-1926)

Annotation:

In the subject field of the article, on the basis of archival documents introduced into scientific circulation, scientific publications and journalistic sources of the 1920s, historical and pedagogical events related to the attempt to organize in the second half of the 1920s the training of employees of places of detention in the «police» schools of the NKVD are actualized RSFSR. The first such experiment was carried out in 1925-1926. at the school of the middle command staff of the militia in the city of Khabarovsk (hereinafter referred to as the Khabarovsk school) at a special penitentiary department, formed in the domestic educational practice for the first time. This pilot project reflected the objective aspirations of the Main Directorate of Prisons of the NKVD of the RSFSR (hereinafter – GUMZ) to organize training in stationary educational institutions that had both special premises (classrooms, a canteen, a hostel, etc.), and full-time teachers who carried out professional activity for some time (up to several years). Particular attention in the article is paid to the pedagogical component of training – the program and the subjects studied, as well as to the organizational and pedagogical conditions for the functioning of the special penitentiary department of the Khabarovsk school.
