Annotation:
The article examines the essence of labor as a means of correction, its role in the execution and serving of criminal sentences in the form of imprisonment, considers the positive aspects of labor as a means of correction, its positive impact on convicts in general, and on those convicted of crimes of a terrorist nature and extremist orientation, in particular. The purpose of the study is to consider the possibility of applying labor as a means of correction to persons convicted of committing crimes of terrorist and extremist orientation. The article highlights the problem associated with the lack of employment or insufficient involvement in the work of the considered category of convicts. In the course of the study, we analyzed the practice of employing convicted terrorists and extremists in the institutions of various territorial bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.
