Annotation:

The development of a modern system of professional training, retraining and advanced training of personnel is one of the tasks formulated in the draft Concept for the development of the penal system for 2020–2030. The article discusses the issue of the possibilities of improving the formation of professional-specialized competencies among employees of special accounting departments in institutions and bodies of the penal system, necessary for further professional activities after undergoing advanced training in departmental educational organizations. For the high-quality conduct of professional activities, an employee must constantly improve knowledge, skills, and abilities in the field of this activity. The role of the institute for advanced training in the field of additional vocational education is reduced to a methodically competent organization of the process of improving the components of vocational and specialized competencies. As an example, the author considers an additional professional program – the advanced
training program “Organization of the work of special accounting units in institutions and bodies of the penal system of the Russian Federation” and proposes forms and methods to improve the process of forming vocationally specialized competencies: options for expanding those – matics of training sessions, considered educational issues, abstracts, practical tasks.
