Annotation:

The article is devoted to a critical analysis of the results of the implementation of the Concept of the development of the penitentiary system of the Russian Federation until 2020 in the field of ensuring the safety of employees of correctional institutions and pre-trial detention centers. The author comes to the conclusion that there are no significant results in this area of activity of the penal enforcement system in the period from 2010 to 2020. Analyzing the block of directions for improving the security of personnel of penitentiary institutions, presented in the Concept of the development of the penitentiary system of the Russian Federation until 2030, the author states that significant changes in this direction, taking into account the projected funding of the federal penitentiary service of Russia, can be achieved solely by improving the professional training of existing employees and reducing the level of shortage
in institutions.
