MEASURES TO PREVENT SUICIDE AMONG EMPLOYEES OF THE PENITENTIARY SYSTEM (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE SIBERIAN FEDERAL DISTRICT)

Annotation:
The article attempts to consider suicide as a mental phenomenon. It is stated that the study of problems related to suicide in Russia is a significant scientific and practical task. It is assumed that joint efforts to study suicide in various scientific fields of penitentiary science will contribute to reducing suicidal tension in the penitentiary system. The attention is focused on the fact that the suicides of the employees of the penitentiary system have a negative impact on the effective activities of the bodies and institutions of the penitentiary system, in particular, on the personnel core. The specifics of the service activities of the employees of the FPS, a significant level of emotional and psychological stress on the staff places high de mands on their psychological stability. It is noted that any incident of suicide among the personnel is an emergency, and has a negative resonance in society, which negatively affects the authority of the FPS. The conclusion is formulated that the prevention of suicide among the employees of the penitentiary system is one of the main tasks of the state, and an integral direction of the development of the penal enforcement system until 2030.
