Annotation:

The article proposes to adapt the rules of orienteering competitions to the peculiarities of the official activities of employees of the domestic penitentiary system and to hold such competitions among cadets of higher educational institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. The list of conventional symbols is proposed to be expanded with special conventional symbols used in official activities by employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. Use camouflage uniforms instead of sportswear. Each participant must have with him a mass-dimensional model of the weapon, a flask with water and a duffel bag. The order of passing the checkpoints is not indicated in the legend, but their locations should be indicated with the help of special symbols used in the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. After re-ceiving the map, the team captain must determine which (or which) of the team members to follow to which (or which) control point (or control points). The team captain himself must follow the shortest path to the finish line and wait for the rest of the team there. The winner of the competition should be the team that spent the least time to find the checkpoints indicated on the map, or the one that found the most of them during the allotted time of the competition.
